Hiort af Ornäs was one of the designers who helped build the success story of modern Finnish design. His production includes furniture ranging from chairs and sofas to sideboards, the most famous of which is the Siesta armchair, designed in 1952. The designer's Rialto chair and Studio sofa were also exhibited at the Milan Triennial in 1957.

Master of Forms presents this forgotten designer and his work. The book paints a picture of a gentleman and talented designer who was uncompromising when it came to quality.
